Frontino, Cagli and Natural Park Sasso Simone and Simoncello

Frontino is the ideal city for who love green areas and quiet, to discover and go in touch with the nature.
The village is situated 75 Km away from Urbino, with about 320 inhabitants all absorbed in works of art. Here you can admire the Fountain – Sculpture of water of F. Order, Building Vandini, Towers and boundaries, the Ancient water mill, the Hermitage of St. Girolamo, the Convent of Florentine Mountain, the Museum ‘Franco Assetto’ and it leans out on the magnificent Natural Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello.
This is a real terrestrial heaven from which the unusual hinterland can be admire, even the village of Cagli, defined by Vittorio Sgarbi one “secret, discreet, protected and inevitable City, where the time seems to have stopped” can be admired. Here two beloved recipes are born: Truffles and Mushrooms. Both the treasures are used in the traditional recipes as the Tagliatelle to the appreciated white truffle or Tuscan Acquacotta with the mushrooms.
The Natural Park Simone Simoncello (5000 hectares) offers the possibility to go on excursions (half day or whole day) on the Carpegna Mountain and to Montecopiolo, the slope to the Tower of the Peschio and so much other. You cannot avoid visiting these enchanting places now enriched by welcoming hotels.
