We will spend a gorgeous day in a agritourism surrounded by the quiet of olive groves. Depending on the season we offer you two different experiences:
A) A) OLIVE HARVEST
We will help the owner of the olive grove during the olive harvest.. he will explain us the characteristic of this fruit and how to recognize its qualities. We will learn something about the pressing and about the phases of the transformation into oil. Visit to the nearby oil mill. Tasting of oil and of other extra virgin olive oil based products (crostini, piadina, sauces, olive pate and so on) Lunch in a agritourism with a menu committed to the king of the banquettes. (Period: November)

B) B) OIL TASTING COURSE
Visit to a renowned oil mill to get to know the production phases of extra virgin olive oil. Transfer to a agritourism for a tasting course which includes: historical and geographic info, short comparison between the different Italian oils, info about the organoleptic characteristics of the oil, notions about how to read the bottle labels on the market to recognize a high quality product. Technics of oil tasting: visual analysis (we will learn that colour is NOT a qualitative characteristic of oil) olfactory analysis (to catch the aromas) taste analysis by using the “stripping” a technique that let us oxygenate oil in the palate and to catch more strongly the aromas.
We will taste some oil based products(crostini, piadina, sauces, olive pate and so on) during the lunch by matching them to traditional dishes and local wines.

The prices are based on 2 days/1 night and include:
