A walk getting through the time… between art town and eminent celebrities

1° DAY
Arrival and accommodation to the chosen food time. Free time, DINNER, free evening and overnight.

2° DAY
Breakfast in the chosen food hotel. Visit to PESARO. The itinerary starts by the sea with the Sphere of Arnaldo Pomodoro, an art nouveau masterpiece. Move on to the city center with a visit to the Duomo, and the Palazzo Ducale, residence of the Signorias of Malatesta, Sforza and Della Rovere. Pesaro preserves many witnesses of its most distinguished citizen: Gioacchino Rossini, an artist beloved in the entire world, and composer of operas like the The Barber of Seville and Guillame Tell. Walking through its alleys you can discover his birthplace, where lithographs, paintings, spoofs, manuscripts and so on are exhibited. Outside visit to the Conservatorio con il Tempietto (Conservatory with a Temple), and in the end to the theater, dedicated to him, where in August the Rossini Opera Festival take place. Transfer to Novilara, LUNCH in a typical lodging with seasonal products of Marche. In the afternoon visit to the hamlet of Novilara, an old walled village perched on a strategic position overlooking the valleys of Foglia and Metauro. Built over an earlier castle of 1000, and transformed into an impregnable fortress to control the territory by the Malatesta and Sforza. Its name, Novilara, is linked with the picene necropolis, a vast cemetery where remains of ancient tombs and opulent grave goods were found.
Especially important are the stone stele, chiseled with geometrical decorations and war scenes. Inside the Archeological Research Centre, that at present hosts a permanent exhibition, which is becoming a museum, we can admire some mold of remains, stele and grave goods. Return to the chosen food hotel in late afternoon, DINNER, free evening and overnight.

3° DAY
Breakfast in the chosen food hotel. Free morning for relax and shopping, transfer to Forlimpopoli for LUNCH. Visit to the well-known center of gastronomic culture consecrated to the Italian traditional cuisine. Pellegrino Artusi writer and gourmet, father of the Italian cuisine, who devoted himself to his passion: literature and gastronomy. The first living museum of cuisine, a museum that at night hosts the phantom of Pellegrino and in the day is opened to cookers, amateurs, gourmets, gastronomes and children, and to everybody who loves wearing a wrap dress, sitting around a table and enjoying himself as much as possible. It is not only the home of memory and fame, but also of appetite (Alberto Capatti).
Later on, transfer to FAENZA. Visit to the International Museum of Ceramics, which shows the local production from the dawn to the modern age, with sections dedicated to the Italian Renaissance, Oriental, Pre- Columbian and European production. We will end up with a walk in the old town that will amaze you for its variety of buildings: the Renaissance square with the Cathedral of the XVI Century, Baroque and Neoclassical palaces. Return to the chosen food hotel late in the afternoon, DINNER, free evening and overnight.

4° DAY
Breakfast in the chosen food hotel. Day consecrated to the Flavours of the Motor Valley. Arrive to Modena, visit to the Museum- House Enzo Ferrari, one of the most distinguished Italians of XX century. All began in this house, today transformed into a museum. Here started the adventure of a celebrity that left an indelible mark on his days. Famous in every corner of the world, Ferrari has never forgotten his origins: on the contrary, he has always shown his devotion to the town. Visiting this place is exciting! The native house of Enzo Ferrari is characterized by white modular furniture, which preserve objects, documents, photos, screens, like the pages of a book where the tale of the great engineer is told. The autos, main players of exhibition are displayed as masterpiece on platforms, and are substituted periodically, based on the temporary exhibitions. Transfer to a restaurant on the route for LUNCH. Walk in the old town. In the afternoon guided tour to a producer of balsamic vinegar, tasting and chance to buy directly from the producer. Return to the chosen food hotel in late afternoon, DINNER, free evening and overnight.

5° DAY
Breakfast in the chosen food hotel, free morning consecrated to relax. We end the tour on the tracks of “Passatore” Stefano Pelloni. The presence of swindlers and outlaws in Romagna is certified by historical documents, at least from the beginning of the XVI century, but none is famous as the Passatore. Stefano Pelloni, called “Passatore” or easily “Stuvane” from his fellow citizens, was a swindler in Romagna at the beginning of XIX century. His nickname originates from his profession, inherited from his father, ferrymen on the river Lamone; he was also called Malandri, from the surname of the woman married to his great- grandfather. When he became a swindler, his sign was “Stuvan de Passador”. LUNCH in a typical restaurant with from farm-to- fork products. In the afternoon move on to the farm La Collina dei Poeti: in a gorgeous frame, surrounded by the green of the rolling hills you will visit to the winery, where there is the production of wines like Sangiovese, Albana and extra virgin oil. Tasting of typical products with the chance to buy products directly. Departure for the return.
